Finding an agency!!!
Finding an agency was one of the most difficult things in the beginning. I began in January 2005 with Childrens Hope International. They told me that Guatemala was closed to adoption. I was also told that because I live in a modular home that I could not adopt. So, I thought that my adoption had ended really fast.
One afternoon in March I was surfing the net and found Faithful Adoptions. Just for fun, I filled out an application. A couple days later a counselor called me wanting more information. I did some research on the agency and found that they were all they said to be. I sent the first part of my fee. I was returned to me due to unknown address. That really scared me and made me start thinking about this agency. The administrator called and assured that it was a postal mistake and everything would be okay. I sent the money back. They rec'd it this time. The fun begins. Paperwork and more paperwork. My counselor called at least 4 times a week to check on the paperwork progress.
