WELCOME TO MY JOURNEY TO BRING MY DAUGHTER, MAYA GRACE HOME FROM GUATEMALA. DURING THIS JOURNEY I HAVE STUMBLED OVER MANY MOUNTAINS ONLY TO BUILD MY FAITH. THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE HARDEST JOURNEY'S OF MY LIFE AND IT HAS THE GREATEST PRIZE AT THE END. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO PLACE MY DAUGHTER IN MY ARMS FOREVER. MY DREAMS WILL THEN BE REALITY!!!

MAYA AT THE DOCTOR!!!

Cool Slideshows

I GOT TO GO WITH MAYA FOR HER 8 MONTH CHECK UP TODAY. SHE WEIGHED IN AT 14 POUNDS AND 10 OUNCES. SHE STARTED SCREAMING THE MINUTE THAT I SAT HER ON THE SCALES. SHE WAS LOOKING AT ME SO SAD. IT WAS LIKE SHE WAS SAYING "MOMMY ARE YOU GOING TO HELP ME"? THEN MY LAWYER AND I WENT TO THE EMBASSY AND PGN. I FOUND OUT YESTERDAY THAT MY PINK SLIP HAD BEEN PULLED. THAT'S RIGHT, I DON'T HAVE PINK ANYMORE. MY CASE HAS WENT UNDER INVESTIGATION BECAUSE MARY BONN'S SIGNATURE WAS IN ONE PLACE. SHE NEVER EVEN SAW MAYA BEFORE. JUST SIGNED SOMETHING. ANYWAY I AM STILL OUT OF PGN AND HAVE THE NEW BC. THEY TOLD ME TODAY THAT MY FILE WOULD BE RELEASED THE LAST DAY OF APRIL AND THEN I WOULD BE SUBMITTED FOR PINK, AGAIN. YES, I DID SEE BARRIOS FACE TO FACE. I JUST REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS PROCESS. ALL I KNOW IT THAT IT SUCKS!!! NOW I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT (MONEY) HOW I AM GOING TO STAY WITH MAYA. I JUST DON'T THINK THAT I CAN GET ON THAT PLANE WITHOUT HER. MY HEART HAS BEEN BREAKING ALL DAY. EVERY TIME I LOOK AT HER I HAVE A MAJOR MELT DOWN. I HAVE THE BEST BESTFRIEND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. WHEN I TALKED TO DEBORAH TONIGHT SHE OFFERED TO LOAN ME WHATEVER MONEY THAT I NEEDED SO THAT I COULD STAY HERE WITH MAYA. SO, MY MIND IS PRETTY MUCH MADE UP. I JUST HAVE A FEW MORE THINGS TO SORT OUT. LIKE WHERE I WILL LIVE. PLEASE SAY A PRAYER THAT EVERYTHING WORKS OUT. I CAN'T LOSE ANOTHER BABY. OH, SPEAKING OF OTHER BABIES. WE WENT TO THE CENTRAL MARKET TODAY WITH MY LAWYER AND I WALKED AROUND THE CORNER AND THERE STOOD MY FIRST REFERRAL. SHE IS 17 MONTHS OLD NOW AND SO ADORABLE. I ALMOST PASSED OUT. SO, THIS DAY HAS BEEN A HUGE EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR COMMENTS AND SUPPORT. MORE PICTURES OF THE PRINCESS TOMORROW.

Oh my! Sending you huge hugs. That sounds like a seriously crappy day! I am so glad that you have a friend that is going to help you to stay with your daughter. I can't even imagine seeing the child that was originally referred to you. I don't know the story but wow! Hang in and I'm praying it will all work out for you.

Oh Ginger, what an emotional day. To see Beralie as well. I hope she looked happy and healthy.

It sounds like a setback but they have a plan to get you PINK which is good. What about people who are fostering? Many of them stay in apartments I believe. Is that an option?

I'll be praying a lot. Hope things are organized soon.

You have such an amazing friend in Deborah! WOW!

I second the idea about fostering in Antigua. Maybe one of your blogfriends can give you the hook up!

I can't believe you saw B. I hope she was happy & healthy!

Sending some bear hugs your way for all you've been through in your journey to Maya...

Oh, Ginger, the emotional rollercoaster you have been on! I am praying for you and Maya right now. I am praying that all the details will work themselves out.

The good news is you can stay with Maya and she is yours, it will just take a little longer to get home. Thank God for Deborah. By all means take the loan. You will never regret spending this extra time in Guatemala with Maya.

And to see Berali--that must have been so difficult, and yet I think it was a gift from God for you to know that she is okay.

    Good luck. I'm praying...

Oh Ginger. Good God, this is so unfair. I don't even have words that could come close to comforting you. So, just know that I'm praying for you.

You should definitely look into staying in Antigua.

Oh no Ginger! That is awful! I hope things get back on track quickly with your Pink. That woman who caused all of this - evil!

Well if you come to Antigua to wait it out, you'll have lots of people who understand what you are going through.

    Ginger,
I have talked to La Case Grande and have talked to several people who have been happy there. Call Fredy and tell him that you are friends with Lou Lynn and tell him who your attorney is. They are giving me a nightly rate of $40 for the month. It may be a little higher for 2 weeks, but definitely cheaper than other hotels. Look on my blog from the other day and there is a link. Call me if you need me.

Ginger, I know you are upset but just remember who is in control and everythings works out in his time table not ours. Hope everythings works out if you decide you need to stay down there. Keep in touch and we love you.

How frustrating this must be for you! I hope that everything gets worked out quickly so that you AND Maya can come home soon. Yes, your BF sounds like the best!

It must have been difficult to see Berali, but it must also be very good to see that she is doing well.

    Prayers & Hugs,

I'm so glad for you that yesterday is over. What a day. Now you can move on and enjoy your time with your baby girl. Everything IS going to work out. I am also happy to help you find a place to stay if you haven't already found one. You have my email...just let me know!

    I AM PRAYING FOR YOU.

I agree that you should stay put in Guatemala!!!
You and Maya are one now. You can't possibly leave, and Deborah is a wonderful friend to help you.
If Antigua is a possibility for you I can get a name of someone who helps adoptive moms find a place. Let me know.
Just a thought also Ginger, we stayed at the La Casa Grande right next door to the Embassy.
They would give families a good rate that were staying for awhile.
Being in Guatemala is the best way to try and get
your appt's moved up also. Another positive.
Focus on the plan they have set up for you, and keep the faith that Maya is yours, there is just a little more red tape to get through.
I agree seeing Berali was probably more then coincidence.
Your in my thoughts and prayers.

    Oh Ginger,
I had no idea. How horrible that this keeps happening. But what is important is that you are with Maya. Yes there are lots of fellow blogger down there now, perhaps you could stay with them.
And then to see your first referral, what a day.
My prayers are with you and Maya!!!!

What?!!!! Out of PGN? This certainly has been one HELLAVU journey for you!

If you have time check out "Jesuswasnotarepublican" blog on my blogroll. She is staying in Guat now due to complications w/ her case too. She can give you some tips on where to stay for not too much money. Name is Erin.

Totally understand how you could not leave Maya now.

G, all I can say is, when you have Maya home with you for a couple of months all the difficulties you've experienced thus far won't be as prominent in your consciousness. Please hold onto that hope.

    Sending you, Maya many hugs.
