PULLED OUT OF THE EMBASSY!!!!

I MADE MY MOMMY LAUGH TODAY!!!
ALL THE BOYS LOVE ME!!!
CRACKING MY MOMMY UP, AGAIN!!!

WITH MUCH SADNESS I AM LEAVING GUATEMALA ON SATURDAY ONCE AGAIN WITHOUT MAYA. TODAY THE EMBASSY TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE AT LEAST 30 MORE DAYS FOR MY PINK TO BE ISSUED. I DID VERY WELL. HOWEVER, THE LADY GOT ANGRY WITH ME AND CALLED THE POLICE TO ESCORT ME OUT OF THE EMBASSY. LET ME TELL YOU THIS GUY WAS NOT GENTLE. I AM SURE THERE WILL BE MARKS FROM HIS HAND. NOW I AM JUST TRYING TO PUT MY HEART BACK TOGETHER. I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WILL EVER BE THE SAME.

Oh God Ginger....I'm literally just sick for you... I can't believe this ....what the hell is up with our OWN Embassy and how dare they man-handle you! Are they trying to make your case go by the new rules (something about another DNA I thought I read somewhere?? maybe wrong there tho?)... BUT I also thought that if Pink had already been issued then you'd be exempt..I'm PRAYING this is a mistake and that maybe AS can make this all happen for you.... I'm SOOO sorry!

WTF is going on? They tell you, that you have pink, then they tell you it's going to take 30 more days to get it? Something isn't right here.

I'm hoping you can get some help with this so you can bring your daughter home where she belongs!

    Ginger,

I just do not understand what the heck the embassy is doing and why this is happening to you. I think it is time to start calling news stations about this issue and get some heat coming at them that way.
I continue to pray for you and Maya.
    Love to you,
    Momma Bug

Oh, Ginger, I just don't understand what is going on. I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now. Do you have any idea why this is happening? Is there anything any of us can do?

Between everyone who reads your blog we all have a fair amount of connections down there. Give us more info (whatever you are comfortable with) so we can put our heads together to help you.

You are not alone in this. (((((((HUGS))))))))))))))

    Ginger,

What happened??? This is ridiculous? What are they doing to you? It a a wonderful woman and a sweet baby girl and you can't get home. This has been going on for two months. I thought all your paperwork was there.

My heart breaks for you and I am crying buckets now for both of you. This is so heartbreaking in uncalled for. Is it because of the law student. I thought we can do all the paperwork for pink ourselves?

Is there anything we can do to help you stay with Maya until this nightmare is over?

Hope you are doing ok this morning Ginger.
I'm not trying to make this harder then it already is, but please make sure you consider staying with Maya.
I could help you get an apt. in Antigua, I'm sure there is something you could rent weekly/monthly. There are a lot of adoptive moms there.
It is safe, beautiful, and really very enjoyable.
Also, La Casa Grande, right next to the embassy, gives discounts for families staying for awhile.
Just thought I would mention these few things.

G, can you stay in Guat.? I think it would be best for Maya because it's hard for a little one to have your love, care, affection and then go again. Additionally, it might help you to be with her, begin to realize that you are her mommy. The BC has already been changed. Guat law sees you as her mom, you are now legally responsible for her should anything happen to her. It's really quite unfortunate that our own Embassy won't do anything to move this along.

Can AS step in and "make things happen"?

OMG...this is absolutely rediculous! What is going on? I will continue to send you prayers. I am so, so sorry Ginger.

Well obviously this is not the news we were all praying and hoping for. I agree with the others. First, how can we help? Seriously. I know most, if not all, of us would give you money to support you staying down there. Second, a lot of us have contacts down there by now. Please let us help you.

We love you and we love Maya. We will do what it takes to keep you together. I mean that.

First let me say that the picture of Maya laughing is priceless. She is obviously very happy with her Mom. As far as the rest-- I am speechless. I can not believe what they are doing to you. Please reach out to Steph and the rest of us and let us use whatever we have to help you out. You need Maya and she needs you.

  • At 10:53 AM, Blogger Kerry said…

That's it. You have got to let us help Ginger. Please give us more detail. What exactly is the REASON they are doing this? IS THERE a legitimate reason?

    Please let us help.

  • At 11:50 AM, Blogger Unknown said…

Forgive me for having to put in my 2 cents worth again!
Without knowing details, your situation, etc.,
Ginger, it will become increasingly difficult for Maya to separate from you, not to mention the toll it has taken on you.
If you stay in Guat. you can avoid that heartbreak, plus I think you will feel less helpless, you can check in with the Embassy regularly.
What about the foster family, could you stay with them?
I'm willing to help with whatever??? Monetary or otherwise.
If you're on the fence about this at all, please let us help you and Maya.
    Jeanne

Ginger - I have no words! I'm stunned!! Please let us help in anyway that we can. Escorting you out and so very sternly - I don't understand? What happened!?

I continue to pray for you and your situation. May God's will be done in your life and in Maya's. I'm so sorry!

I don't understand at all! I've never heard of anyone getting to this point but not being able to get their pink appt. I hope Adoption Supervisors get back to you and can resolve this quickly. I can't imagine how it must break your heart to leave Maya again. I am so sorry.
