WELCOME TO MY JOURNEY TO BRING MY DAUGHTER, MAYA GRACE HOME FROM GUATEMALA. DURING THIS JOURNEY I HAVE STUMBLED OVER MANY MOUNTAINS ONLY TO BUILD MY FAITH. THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE HARDEST JOURNEY'S OF MY LIFE AND IT HAS THE GREATEST PRIZE AT THE END. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO PLACE MY DAUGHTER IN MY ARMS FOREVER. MY DREAMS WILL THEN BE REALITY!!!

I AM TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL!!
I NEED SOME MAJOR HELP. I AM TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL WITH MY SHOPPING. I CAN ALWAYS FIND A REASON TO BUY MAYA THESE CUTE LITTLE OUTFITS. LAST WEEK IT WAS BECAUSE I WAS SO STRESSED ABOUT THE DNA/SWI. THIS WEEK I AM CELEBRATING THAT THE DNA/SWI WAS DONE. I WANT TO BE DOING SOMETHING FOR HER. ALL I CAN DO RIGHT NOW IS PRAY FOR HER AND SHOP FOR HER. I ALWAYS FIND REALLY GREAT DEALS. I LOVE TO BARGIN SHOP!!! THAT WAY I CAN GET 4 OUTFITS INSTEAD OF 2. IN 33 DAYS I WILL BE HOLDING HER. THAT WILL BEAT SHOPPING.
lol poor you! What worked for me was I read somewhere about how much we spend without thinking. I started making a list of the things i would buy - i.e. coffee, cute baby outfit etc and saw what it came to in a month. I figured then that it actually came to 2 days wages - so actually I would rather have 2 more days off a month to be with my kids! lol but it's still hard!!!! Plus the waiting is terrible, so you have a good excuse!
You and me both! Very cute outfits too. I bought one last dress today and a second Christmas outfit and I have vowed not to buy anything else from here on out (I've been very, very bad about it). Wonder how long that will last, lol.
Girlfriend, I've got your back on the whole retail therapy thing. Shopping for Sofia feels like something I can actively "do" and boy, can I do it well! Thanks for your ongoing support! It means more to me than words can express!
Just make sure you save enough money to go pick her up! As long as you have that covered, shop all you want. It's fun, and we all need all the fun we can get during this wait.
I was more than out of control during the wait. And now that she's home... aye yay.. I'm trying to at least make sure she can wear everything she has at least once.
I am a single mother with a daughter from Guatemala. I brought her home on August 21st, 2007. I am loving every second of motherhood. Maya is the love of my life. I can't imagine life without her. I thank God everyday that she is home in my arms.
