LEAVE MY MOMMY'S FRIENDS ALONE!!!


WHY DOES THIS SOCIETY THINK THAT SINGLES CAN'T ADOPT AND WORK AT THE SAME TIME. SINGLE PARENTS RAISE CHILDREN ALL THE TIME AND THE CHILDREN TURN OUT JUST FINE. I AM SO SICK OF PEOPLE MAKING STATEMENTS LIKE: HOW ARE YOU GOING TO WORK WITH A BABY? DUH, PEOPLE DO IT ALL THE TIME, IT IS CALLED BABYSITTERS. I DO PLANNED TO TAKE SOME TIME TO BE WITH MAYA AND SHARE HER WITH MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. ANOTHER QUESTION THAT I GET ALL THE TIME IS : WHY DON'T YOU JUST GET MARRIED AND HAVE YOUR OWN BABY? I JUST THINK SINGLE PARENTS FEEL THAT THEY HAVE TO PROVE SOMETHING TO SOCIETY. MAYBE THAT OUR KIDS WON'T GROW UP TO BE CRIMINALS, OR DRUG ADDICTS. THIS IS JUST NOT FAIR. WE DESERVE TO BE PARENTS ALSO. MAYBE IT IS OUR CHOICE TO BE SINGLE.
THE REASON I AM POSTING THIS: A VERY DEAR BLOGGER/ADOPTING FRIEND E-MAILED ME THIS MORNING VERY UPSET. SHE HAD TALKED TO SOME PEOPLE THAT HAD ADOPTED DOMESTICALLY AND WAS SHARING HER STORY. THEY WERE SOOOOO NEGATIVE AND DISCOURAGING TO HER. IT JUST MAKES ME SO MAD. PEOPLE MAKE THESE STUPID COMMENTS AND THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A CLUE. THESE PEOPLE HAD ADOPTED BUT I SUPPOSE THEY WERE MARRIED. THAT MAKES ALL RIGHT!!!
MY DEAR FRIEND DON'T LET THIS DISCOURAGE YOU. YOU WILL BE A WONDERFUL MOTHER WITH OR WITHOUT A HUSBAND. HANG IN THERE AND I AM HERE FOR YOU.

    With the divorce rate at 50% there are equal numbers of single parents to married ones.

    Us single mom's by choice are a new phenomenon. Hopefully, in time, it won't be looked upon so strangely.

    People can be such jerks. What matters is that the child is loved. Believe me there are plenty of two parent homes that do not love thier child half as much as some of the single moms I know. Women were born to be mothers. If you happen to find a partner along your journey to become a mother then that is icing on the cake but woman are meant to be mothers and DO NOT need a man for that!!!!!

    Any child is way better off with one good parent than two poor ones! How good of a parent a person is has absolutely NOTHING to do with their marital status. Stupid people should have to wear gags. I swear! And working Moms? Don't even get me started!!!
