MAYA IS SICK!!!

I TALKED TO MAYA'S FOSTER MOM LAST NIGHT. SHE HAD TAKEN HER TO THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE OF VOMITING AND DIARRHEA. SHE SAID THAT SHE WAS REALLY SICK. THIS MAKES ME SO SAD FOR HER TO BE SICK AND ME TO BE SO FAR AWAY. I HOPE THAT SHE WILL FORGIVE ME. I AM SO WORRIED ABOUT HER. A BABY NEEDS TO BE WITH HER MOTHER WHEN THEY ARE SICK. I KNOW THAT SHE IS BEING VERY WELL TAKEN CARE. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT SHE IS RUNNING OUT OF FOOD AND THEY CAN'T BUY ANYMORE. THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT THE "LAW STUDENT" TO BRING FOOD BUT HE HAS SKIPPED THE COUNTRY AGAIN. SO, I AM SO THANKFUL FOR BLOGGER FRIENDS ON VISIT TRIPS. A VERY DEAR FRIEND IS GOING TO BUY MAYA SOME FOOD AND LEAVE AT THE HOTEL DESK FOR HER FOSTER MOM TO PICK UP. I OWE YOU GIRL!! I AM GOING TO CALL AND CHECK ON MAYA AGAIN TOMORROW NIGHT. PLEASE SAY A PRAYER FOR HER AND I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

    Poor Maya and poor Maya's mommy! NO FOOD??? That lawyer of yours needs to be IN JAIL with the other CRIMINALS! Thank the Lord that He sent other Guatemamas to the rescue! I am praying for Maya to be well and for you to have the strength you need to get through this time. When that baby comes off that airplane in the US there will be rejoicing EVERYWHERE! Know that we all love you and stay strong. Look, you also know that I have my friend, Jorge, down there. I know he would go get food for Maya anytime, and we could just send him some money down later. Let me know if you EVER need him to do anything!!

    Ginger, if it is rotavirus she should be fine pretty soon. I hope they can get her some pedialyte though, that is sooo important. You probably know how common that virus is in Guatemala.
    Your precious babe has the cutest smile in the world. You seriously could enter her and win every baby contest. However, just praying for
    fast fingerprints, and PINK!!!!!!

    I am here in Guat until Wednesday and I also have pedialyte with me. Which hotel and what day is the FM picking up the food? Can she swinf by the Tikal too? I brought a whole suitcase of food and baby snacks, plus formula and meds. Please e-mail me at waitingforahren@yahoo.com. I want to help!

    Awww praying for Maya!! hoping that you get those fingerprints taken care of quicker then what they are telling you. Ask your agency to ask them if they can do a rush on the processing! We were held up by fingerprints and our agency here were able to get us an earlier (emergency)appt. and they processed quicker!
