WELCOME TO MY JOURNEY TO BRING MY DAUGHTER, MAYA GRACE HOME FROM GUATEMALA. DURING THIS JOURNEY I HAVE STUMBLED OVER MANY MOUNTAINS ONLY TO BUILD MY FAITH. THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE HARDEST JOURNEY'S OF MY LIFE AND IT HAS THE GREATEST PRIZE AT THE END. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO PLACE MY DAUGHTER IN MY ARMS FOREVER. MY DREAMS WILL THEN BE REALITY!!!

FAREWELLS AND A BABY SHOWER
LAST NIGHT WAS OUR LAST NIGHT AT WORK. IT WAS VERY BITTER SWEET. WE HAVE SOOOO MANY FRIENDS HERE AND IT WAS A GREAT JOB. THE STAFF IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM GAVE ME A LITTLE BABY SHOWER WITH GIFTS AND LOTS OF GREAT FOOD. I GOT TONS OF DIAPERS AND WIPES. THE X-RAY GIRL GAVE ME THIS FRAMED ADOPTION POEM WITH A PLACE FOR A PICTURE AND FOR MAYA'S HAND PRINTS. IT IS SWEET!!! I WAS REALLY SUPRISED. THEN AFTER WORK, ABOUT 30 CO-WORKERS MET AT MIMI'S FOR BREAKFAST. IT ALL WENT VERY WELL. IT WAS JUST HARD SAYING GOODBYE, SO WE JUST SAID "SEE YA NEXT TIME". I WILL POST PICTURES LATER.
Sorry Ginger!! I haven't commented for a while! I hope the transiton goes well with you and Deborah. It sounds like you had a great time last nihgt and this morning. I so glad about that.
I really gotta get on my blog more often!! Don't ya think?
Sorry I have been MIA, Sounds like you've had one heck of a week. So glad Maya is feeling better, and so happy to hear that you are going on a road trip!!!! Sounds like so much fun.
Always so hard to say goodbye to those you work well with.... but the "see ya later" at least in healthcare - I've found to be very true... I suspect you might just see many later! :) Wishing you two the very best and praying Maya is with you permanently very soon! Take good care
It does sound very bitter sweet. You have so many changes going on in your life right now...one of those changes is stressful enough! You're doing great!!!
I am a single mother with a daughter from Guatemala. I brought her home on August 21st, 2007. I am loving every second of motherhood. Maya is the love of my life. I can't imagine life without her. I thank God everyday that she is home in my arms.
