WELCOME TO MY JOURNEY TO BRING MY DAUGHTER, MAYA GRACE HOME FROM GUATEMALA. DURING THIS JOURNEY I HAVE STUMBLED OVER MANY MOUNTAINS ONLY TO BUILD MY FAITH. THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE HARDEST JOURNEY'S OF MY LIFE AND IT HAS THE GREATEST PRIZE AT THE END. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO PLACE MY DAUGHTER IN MY ARMS FOREVER. MY DREAMS WILL THEN BE REALITY!!!

ANOTHER DAY AT THE MARRIOTT!!!

I CRACK MYSELF UP!!
WE DIDN'T DO IT!!!
ME, MAYA, LAYLA AND JOLENE!! THEY ARE GOING HOME IN THE MORNING. I AM SO HAPPY FOR THEM. IT HAS BEEN A LOOOOOONG ROAD FOR THEM ALSO.
I CONFESS, MY MOMMY GOT BORED AND WENT TO THE WESTIN FOR A PHOTO SHOOT. THIS IS IN THE BATHROOM IN THE LOBBY.
JUST HANGING IN THE BABY LOUNGE!!!
NOT MUCH GOING ON TODAY. MAYA WAS NOT FEELING VERY GOOD SO WE JUST HUNG OUT IN THE ROOM MOST OF THE DAY. I THINK IT IS HER SHOTS OR MAYBE TEETHING THAT IS MAKING HER FEEL BAD. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DECIDE IF I SHOULD GO TO THE PHARMACY AND GET HER SOME MEDICINE. TYLENOL IS WORKING GOOD RIGHT NOW. THE WEATHER STINKS HERE. IT HAS BEEN RAINING FOR 2 DAYS. HAVING TO STAY IN THE HOTEL MAKES FOR A VERY LONG AND DEPRESSING DAY. MY LAW STUDENT WAS SUPPOSE TO COME BY AND CHECK MY DOCUMENTS TODAY BUT HE NEVER SHOWED. SURPRISE, SURPRISE. I JUST HOPE THAT I HAVE EVERYTHING FILLED OUT CORRECT. I WENT TO GET OUR FLIGHTS HOME TODAY AND ENDED UP HAVING TO PAY $1500.00 PLUS FOR 2 ADULT TICKETS. I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I HAD TO WAIT AND GET MAYA'S AFTER WE GET THE VISA. SO, I WENT OFF OF THE LADY WHEN SHE WOULD NOT LET ME PURCHASE HER TICKET. THIS HOTEL IS GETTING SO SMALL. I WILL BE SOOOOO HAPPY TO GET UP AT 3 AM AND HEAD TO THE AIRPORT A WEEK FROM TODAY. I HAVE BEEN IN TEARS MOST OF TODAY. NOT SURE WHY. WELL, I DO KNOW WHY BUT THERE IS NOTHING THAT I CAN DO ABOUT IT SO I GUESS I SHOULD GET OVER IT. SOME OF YOU HAVE ASKED ABOUT MAYA'S TEETH. SHE DOES HAVE ONE ON THE BOTTOM. IT BROKE THROUGH LAST WEEK. I HAVE TRIED TO GET A PICTURE OF IT BUT NO LUCK. WE ARE ALSO HAVING BOW ISSUES. I PUT THEM IN AND SHE PULLS THEM OUT. ANY SUGGESTIONS????

    First the bows, tie a tiny rubber band in her hair first. Then hook the bow on that. MUCH harder for her to get out. I also had one girl who was super quick. For her, I put in a "dummy" bow. After I put in the real one, I quickly stuck another way in front. She forgot about the real one and thought she got "it" out once she pulled out the dummy one. Did that make any sense?? ;)

    Sorry you've had a rough day girl. Please know I'm out here praying like crazy. And hey, if you ever need to talk or cry, I've got some well used shoulders here. I mean that. Lord knows I've used my share of other people's shoulders.

    ok If that bow trick works let me know cause I have one that pulls them put too!!! Personally I hope you never see that "law student" again-- he has caused you more than enough grief- he probably doesn't even know how to fill out the forms! Ok that was bad sorry!! I love the first picture of her laughing. Goes to show you that she is happy with you no matter where you are. Enjoy that!!!!

    Ginger, hang in there. I can only imagine how difficult this has been and I know you're ready to come home. But, you're on the home stretch.

    Figures the law student was a no-show.

    For the bow issue, if you get it figured out, lemme know, ok??? I can't get Gabriella to leave hers in and haven't for a long time now. But, then again, she doesn't have the hair that Maya has, so it's more for looks. I wish she would sit still for me to try the rubber band trick, but HA!!!!!! No way would I be able to get that in.

    Sissy says from Maya leave the bow thing alone. I might decide I like them when I get older but just not now mommy. I look beautiful without the bow. Can't wait till ya'll get home.

    I think Maya is trying to tell you she has a lot of
    tomboy in her, even though her mommy dresses
    her in such adorable outfits. She sure looks like
    she has a ton of SPUNK!
    Glad to hear her toohfers are coming in!
    This is a very emotional time for you Ginger, so
    don't be surprised you feel up and down so much!
    Hopefully mostly up! You probably have a few jitters yet that this is finally coming true! Plus, everyone feels better when you are finally home.

    We are also having bow issues. A lady at a children's clothing shop today told me to put a rubber band on the back of the barrett. That way it's harder to pull out. I'm trying it tomorrow. I'll tell you what....I know you get tired of the Marriott, but Natalie and I talk now about how we wish we could be back there....no house to clean, no dishes to wash, just time to spend just you and the baby. I miss those days of just having each other all day. I know you're ready to come home, but soak up all the joy of each day. Too quickly we're back in the real world............
